Guest Lecture: Dilshod Zufarov

The guest lecture explored how the “Theory of Inventive Problem Solving” (TIPS/TRIZ) can be applied to address social challenges. Dilshod Zufarov, head of the Social Venture Capital Association and an expert in commercialization of scientific developments, shared insights on how social venture capital funds impactful projects, how TRIZ-driven innovation supports solving societal issues, and how genetic–cultural coevolution influences economic and technological development. The session attracted students and professionals interested in economics, business, technology, and social innovation.

Workshop Session with Alexander Schärer

New Uzbekistan University hosted a masterclass led by Alexander Schärer, Head of the Political and Economic Affairs Section at the Embassy of Switzerland in Uzbekistan. With extensive experience in diplomatic engagement, international economic cooperation, and innovation policy, Mr. Schärer provided valuable insights into Switzerland’s globally recognized business environment and innovation ecosystem. During the session, participants explored key factors behind Switzerland’s success in entrepreneurship and technological development, and had the opportunity to engage directly with the guest through a Q&A segment.
